Had my longest lucid dream! ~~~ Tried a new technique

Hi all, last night I had my longest lucid dream which lasted about 1min 20 secs

This is great for me as usually they only last about 20 secs (though frequent) It was a DILD, and the subsequent non-lucid part of my dream involved me flying/gliding down a street which was epic, but then the scene changed and I was fully lucid.

Upon becoming lucid I tried a technique some guy posted in these forums (sorry don't remember name or thread) but as soon as I became lucid I said to myself "Ok I am going to have a great long lucid experience. I engaged my dream sense like the thread said i.e concentrated on my dream vision and touch primarily - rubbed my hands, and instantly noticed more detail coming in the dream, it got SUPER real then, literally like real life.

My intention was to only focus on prolonging the dream and observing my surroundings - so I didn't want to fly or anything too exciting. I was in the garden in my dads house, which was actually pretty boring lol, the first part I was outside the living room window and noticed a statue (one my dad has of queen Nefertiti) and concentrated until the detail became clear, and there was also a green and yellow duck ornament which also became more clear. After this I walked down the garden a bit more, looked in the window reflection to see if anything on me looked different but it was the same, then went to the grass area and that was it!

All in all, a relatively boring lucid experience, but I'm glad I prolonged it. I woke up with a very minor headache (I think due to this as I never have woken up with a headache) which faded after 30 seconds, probably due to new brain functioning (DMT?) techniques being activated.
Thanks for reading, feel free to comment.

Congrats! My Ld's last from 10-30 mins in the extremes (I'd say 15-20 average though). What I find that helps me is staying calm right after lucidity and doing an RC (even if I'm already "completely" aware) and then touching something, and having a concrete goal.

May you have many more fulfilling lucid adventures!

2 hours of lucid dreaming?? What did you get up to? What did you unravel from your unconsciousness, only you know your truth you say, what is your truth?

Thanks! So what do you do for 20 mins (real time) of lucid dream? That must be SO epic. Do you fly high?
Yeah that's what I did this time, stayed calm and focused. So you did a RC when you BECAME lucid? Isn't that a bit redundant lol, or does it help you stabilize?
