You can read and write in a LD as clearly as real life. I have confirmed it.

So I already knew that one is able to read and write during a lucid dream and it could be as vivid and as clear as real life. But having a personal experience of it was just amazing. Last night I had a lucid dream where I can see and read English text as clear and as vivid as I would in real life. Couple nights ago I also tried writing down things in a lucid dream and it worked and it was clear as well. What I was writing down exactly were things I would want to remember after I wake up from the lucid dream.
Anyways, I wanted to share my personal experience of this with everyone.

Tl;dr: I was able to read and write in a LD and it was as clear and as vivid as real life.

They did not. But, I only wrote 3 very short sentences then looked away.

Yeah expectations definitely do shape lucid dreams.

I have tried to see if the text changes when I read it in a dream and many times it does not. It has lead me to reading interesting things in books. I would ask the book a question and open the book to a random page.
      I want huggles....

That's interesting. I want to try that at some point.

Yeah I know. Most of the time I share my lucid dreaming posts both here and on reddit.

I happened to read them back to back too. Anyway, I have also written and read clearly in dreams. I've even made a point in lucid dreams to read things and then repeat them out loud over and over so I will remember them when I wake up. Its very liberating, it feels almost like I was able to physically take something out of the dream. It makes it feel much more real. Samuel Coleridge discovered the poem Kubla Khan in a dream and wrote it down immediately upon waking. I wonder if he heard it or saw it written or what in the dream...

Yeah it is very interesting. Have you heard of Otto Loewi? He won the noble prize for medicine, after designing an experiment in his lucid dream and then carrying it out in real life. I forgot the details. But it is very intriguing.
