      fighting/boxing in dreams, new development

I started taking boxing classes in the middle of July and going 2 to 4 days a weeks. I don't know if this counts as lucid dreaming or if somehow I'm getting better at connecting my conscious and subconscious. Anyway, whenever something tries to attack me or fight me in my dreams for about the last 3 weeks I go into my boxing fighting stance and I start doing the punches I've been taught in class. When I hit my target in my dreams it falls or gets knocked out. I seem to be also favoring uppercuts when I fight in my dreams too. I don't know, plus there was this other dream a few days ago. I dreamt I was with this lady and we were flying around. We ended up on the ground and she just gave me this look and said "You are...". I replied with "No!" then clutched my head in pain and screamed. My vision literally went white, like I was seeing with my eyeballs. Then, before me was this guy with deep, magnificent, piercing blue eyes with angel wings on his back. I drew him on a sketchpad after it jolted me awake. Also, before that dream I had just walked away from my last job and it felt like all the life had been sucked out of me. I had a serious lack of energy and I was just not feeling well. However, after seeing that angel it was like it had all been lifted. My energy immediately came back, I feel more like praying and reading my bible every day, and my general feelings of depression have been greatly reduced. I don't what to make of this but when I geled my hair before I would part it but it would always be mostly to one side. Since that dream I've started parting it straight down the middle, just like the angel, as if its an old compulsion or habit. Thats all I have for now. I'll try to come and visit more often.

It isn't a lucid dream unless you realize it's a dream while you're dreaming - that's the definition of a lucid dream. The fact that you started dreaming about boxing is to be expected - we often dream about things that we think about a lot or do a lot - especially if we're learning something, we practice it in our dreams. It's a part of the learning process. This is the basis of the term "let me sleep on it" - because it's a known fact that your mind can't completely process new information until a good period of sleep, during which the new information is reviewed and compared with older knowledge. In both REM and Non-REM sleep the mind processes the new material.

Sorry, I have nothing about the rest of the dream.
