I keep having lucid dreams within another dream

Sorry, if this is the wrong section, but it seems appropriate.

I am kind of a lazy lucid dreamer, but havre gotten more erious about it recently. Lately I am having lucid dreams within a dream. I am in a dream non-lucid and go to sleep or something like that, and then become lucid in the second dream. I never have full conciseness but know I am lucid after doing a reality check, and after I wake up out of that dream I tell people in my first dream that I had a lucid dream and talk about it, thinking I am in real life.

I am happy that I am at least having some lucid dreams, but it is kidna annoying that they are always dreams within a dream and are not that vivid. Any tips on how to not have any of these anymore and just have regular lucid dreams?

      Thanks, N1ghtFeather

Get in the habit of doing a reality check every time you wake up. That'll help you catch those false awakenings.

Exactly and maybe try to add them before you go to sleep so you might realize you are dreaming before having that secondary dream within your first dream
If you feel like it, please take a look at my YouTube channel:

As others have suggested make sure to Rc upon waking I have had the same problems before to I've done a few wilds in my dreams and spent what felt like 2o minutes doing the whole process only to realise I'm actually dreaming I know the pain lol.

The vividness is mainly to do with your dream not being stable enough try stabilizing more usually when I spend a good minute or two stabilizing it makes the dream so life like I have to keep reality checking to make sure it isn't real, make it your next lucid goal to just stabilize as much as you can you'd be surprised at the results and the Dream usually lasts way longer

It sounds like you're actually having non-lucid dreams ABOUT lucid dreaming. You said they aren't very vivid, which makes me suspect they aren't actually lucid. It's very common to dream about things you think about a lot - if you're really into baseball for instance, or if you recently saw a movie you really love and think about a lot you might dream about those things. In the same way, if you're excited about lucid dreaming you can dream about it, without becoming actually lucid. It seems like you're dreaming about the whole process - the whole act of falling asleep, becoming lucid, and then waking up.

Of course not being vivid doesn't mean the dreams aren't lucid necessarily, but the whole way you describe them just seems to be at a distance, as if they didn't feel immediate and visceral. Nothing you wrote makes it sound like you really experienced that sudden rush of excitement that accompanies real lucidity (especially the first few times).

This is a pretty accurate description, but I actually do get exited when I do my reality check (Plug nose and breath). Like I have to calm myself down but I don't fully REALIZE that I am dreaming...

Possibly you dream of becoming excited because you know it's something that's supposed to happen? I don't know. It could be a lucid with very low awareness too.
