I stayed up later than usual.

Last night I stayed up until 3 am, when I finally went to sleep I had both my arms above my head and sleep paralysis came super strong. I'm confused a little about SP, right when it happened I was in a little daydream (?) with huge winds that I felt like I was flying around the setting, I can't tell if it was a LD. I kept telling myself I was lucid and then the SP wore off, I performed a RC but wasn't lucid.. Thinking it's because I opened my eyes after the SP...

Hi there, first you should read through this link, http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...explained.html

It is very unlikely that you can get a normal LD when first falling asleep. You can however experience all sort of hypnogogic hallucinations. They are interesting and can be a fun hobby by themselves. In a way they are sort of lucid dreams, just in a minor sense. Perhaps like humming could be called music, but lacks the substance of a real song.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

Thats interesting because almost 100% of the times I stay up later and then go to bed I get an LD. I think it has something to do with the sudden change of your sleep cycle in general. However I do think a Lucid Dream is possible in the first dream of the night, I've done it before, and I was even aware of the time so I knew it was the first dream of the night. I do partly agree with Sivason though because unless you really are determined to become Lucid in that first dream, odds are it wont happen. Its only happened to me once because I really wanted to become lucid that night.
As for SP, if you were already in a dream it wouldn't of mattered because you would've been opening your dream eyes. So it seems like you were still awake.

"Your background and circumstances may have influenced who you are, but you are responsible for who you become." ~Darren Hardy

      Goals:
-Become Lucid in every dream every night
      -Perfect the time dilation watch
-Continue to have a dream plan for most of my lucid dreams
