Posting a link about lucid dreaming to my school class on Facebook = good idea?

I always feel very eager to introduce other people to lucid dreaming, and I figured that since my class at university has this private group thing on Facebook, and people sometimes post random things on there anyway, do you think it would be a good idea to post a link about lucid dreaming?
I could even excuse it as "something that tempts you to sleep properly" or whatever, although, like I said, the group is not necessarily restricted to only school-related things.
Or is lucid dreaming still too weird for most people?

well I think you should just post it and see what they think, I get that a lot of people think it's stupid but you could offer these people good insight.

I find most people to be indifferent to the concept of lucid dreaming. Few people seem to be interested in it and even fewer people seem to be against it. I don't think posting a link would do too much harm.

Describing it as "partying while sleeping" might make it sound more desirable to college students.

Most people seem to have no clue about lucid dreaming, it should be advertised more. I only found about lucid dreaming through chance while looking through random youtube videos.

Yes, I definitely agree about that.
Of course, it isn't "important" to let other people know about lucid dreaming, but it is somehow kind of frustrating to know about its fantastic potentials, and yet almost nobody seems to know anything about it.
I am sure that most people would highly enjoy lucid dreaming once they started experiencing it and learning about its benefits, the only reason I can think of why anyone would not like lucid dreaming would be that they might feel that they are "always awake and never shut down".
But if I personally ever started feeling that way then I would just lie down somewhere in the lucid dream itself and relax.
Taking a nap in a lucid dream is probably the most relaxing thing you can do.

Definitely go for it man. I think it'd be awesome to share this ability/phenomenon with others because of the potential within it.
      After all, why not?

I heard about lucid dreaming a few years back, but It never interested me.

I stumbled across it again this year, and reararched it properly. It really opened my eyes and I love every minute of it!
So make sure to really sell it to them
      When you are dreaming,
      I am wide awake.
      Believe when you see me,
in the mind's eye I wait
      while you are sleeping.

A few other classics from the ignorant crowd:

"Don't try this shit, I saw shadowy figures and it's the worst thing I have ever experienced"
      "Will this make me possessed?"
      "Inception...!"

Why does this happen so much?!

What's ever worse, for me at least, is when people say, "What? Inception had nothing to do with lucid dreaming. Did you even watch the movie?"

Haha yeah, Inception may at best be loosely based on lucid dreaming, but it is certainly not "accurate".
It is an interesting movie, and some aspects had a few points (like the fact that waking life events can affect your dreams and that lucid dreams can be super-vivid), but the whole "dream limbo" thing was obviously fictional.

One thing that I found most similar to a lucid dreamer's attitude was Arthur's random kissing moment with Ariadne.
I would most likely do the same thing if I was sitting next to cute girl in a lucid dream.
