At a very young age , I started lucid dreaming. I also was able to dream control. I had no idea this was an actual thing and thought maybe I was insane.
It started with night terrors. I decided in the dream that it was a dream , therefore taking the control away from the dream and upon myself. I would turn monsters into kittens. Burning bridges that I would be travelling across with my family would suddenly be a painting and then I was left figuring my way out of the painting.
When I was in my teen years , my dreams were mostly sexual. No matter how the dream started and who was in it , I was able to change up characters to my liking when I wasnt being satisfied. Seems kinda greedy, I know but I wasnt hurting anyone . The only problem I really saw was that dream life became more fun and sometimes more real than waking life.
I am older now and still have these abilities but not as well. Ive never been taught any of it but maybe should learn control before I lose it.
I dont tell many people about this bc it sounds kinda crazy....so Im really glad I found this group !
I was told by a dr. That I cant be hypnotized bc my will was too strong. But with a little power of suggestion , I am able to envision and feel the experience fully of a fantasy.
I often wonder if the hypnotist comment has any truth and whether my ability to turn off someone elses power to control and my own ability to control my own emotions during fantasies and dreams has some kind of cognitive connection .

      Monsters into kittens!

Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you have a lot of natural ability that you can use to better your waking life. What would you like to do?

If you haven't, make sure you keep a dream journal and perform reality checks st regular intervals!

Welcome to the forums! Nice meeting you in chat.

It sounds like you have plenty of experience inducing lucid dreams, but if you want some tutorials on dream control, you can find that on our Dream Control forum.

Also, if you want some ideas for things to do in your lucids, you can try out our Tasks of the Month, or one of our Lucid Dares.

Anyway, enjoy your stay, and feel free to ask any questions you might have. In the meantime, here's a picture of a bunny that understands the importance of getting healthy food at the grocery store:

"Going through life worrying about the little things is like cooking with motor oil instead of cooking oil. Sure, you can still probably pull it off, but it'll leave a bad taste in your mouth in retrospect." - Me, apparently
