Question Do I lucid dream or half-lucid dream, or just dream that I'm lucid dreaming?

I am very often aware that I'm dreaming in my dreams. However, when I've been aware to the point where I have control, the most common occurrence is:

      - I can't come up with the "scenery" fast enough to continue the dream. Since I become consciously aware that I'm in control, I realize the dream is in my hands and I have to come up with everything. I then get overwhelmed because I can't come up with every object in the scene fast enough. This happens most often with flying dreams; once I get to a certain spot, I don't know what it looks like past that area.

      - I will ask a question that I want to ask someone, but get scared when they start to answer, and as soon as I get scared, I wake up.

There are others but those are the two I think of. Or, this is random and silly but one of the only "lighthearted" ones I've had: I walked into a club/bar deciding I'd go up to, and just start making out with, any guy of my choice (no offense to guys, in the dream he was into it so this wasn't against his will or anything, it was like he already knew me and we had a romance) since I'm dreaming. But, even though I was lucid (?) and theoretically I could create or choose my dream guy, the only guy I was able to choose for some reason was Borat. Not kidding.

Am I not really becoming lucid? I've made the conscious decision to fly, to face fears, to have romantic moments, to ask people questions, etc. and I've also had ones where I know I'm dreaming, but I often have nightmares which must mean I'm not lucid in those because I don't have control, and even in these control ones, it's either too much control and I can't come up with everything in the dream fast enough since it's all in my control, or it's not enough control and I lose it by the end of it?

I think people misunderstand lucid dreaming, i think they try to be inception movie like or something skills.

Lucid just means you are "aware" of the moment. Thats all.
If you are aware of any dreams, you are lucid dreaming.

The other extras, like flying/super powers, just extras.

you don't have to come up with things, just don't wake up

how long are these dreams where you try to create everything?

If your thinking too much the world should fade away or tear it self apart or something

if you relax the dream will go on unless it is naturally ending (be sure to set something to do or it might end suddenly, when your not doing what the subconscious wants and your not doing anything in particular either)

Thanks for the tips! I've had dreams where I know I'm dreaming for so long I didn't realize that was lucid.

The ones where I try to create everything don't last long past where I start to create, lol. I could be flying in a familiar scene and as soon as I start coming up to a part where it's not there and I have to create it, it usually ends within a matter of minutes or less. Anytime I get to the point where I have to create, there's never more than I'd say a minute afterward.

When the dream begins to fade, smack your dream hands together and rub them, you will be blind but if you wait vision will return should be back in like 30 seconds or 1 minute. Just feel the hands rub, feel the friction, feel the heat, hear the sound. Believe vision will return. As long as you can still hear and feel your still in a lucid dream
