      Quick answer:

Sure. Just work hard on the fundamentals (self-awareness, memory, expectation/intention) and practice techniques for WILD rather than DILD. Meditation might help as well.

Successful LD'ing is rooted in your mindset, and not in any particular technique or practice. Get your head in the right place, and you can LD -- even if you never do an established technique.

That said, some things do help immensely to get you closer to that mindset. Two of the things that have proven extremely helpful are dream journaling and RC's. Even if you do not feel like doing them or have trouble fitting them into your schedule, I strongly suggest that you do -- especially the dream journal. You might be able to do without them, but I think you will find a successful return to consistent LD'ing much sooner if you go back to using them. For instance, compensating for not keeping a dream journal (i.e., coming up with another way to remember your dreams, noting dreamsigns, or getting dreams closer to your waking life in general) is possible, sure, but the easiest process might in the end be simply writing them down. Sometimes it takes a lot more time & effort to avoid a little work than that little work would have consumed in the first place.
