      Quick Question

So i recently came back to lucid dreaming and i just wanted to ask you guys a question.
Is there a way for me to get back at lucid dreaming without doing these 2 things.Having a dream journal and doing reality checks.
If there is what is the best technique for it?

      Thank you in advance .

      Quick answer:

Sure. Just work hard on the fundamentals (self-awareness, memory, expectation/intention) and practice techniques for WILD rather than DILD. Meditation might help as well.

Successful LD'ing is rooted in your mindset, and not in any particular technique or practice. Get your head in the right place, and you can LD -- even if you never do an established technique.

That said, some things do help immensely to get you closer to that mindset. Two of the things that have proven extremely helpful are dream journaling and RC's. Even if you do not feel like doing them or have trouble fitting them into your schedule, I strongly suggest that you do -- especially the dream journal. You might be able to do without them, but I think you will find a successful return to consistent LD'ing much sooner if you go back to using them. For instance, compensating for not keeping a dream journal (i.e., coming up with another way to remember your dreams, noting dreamsigns, or getting dreams closer to your waking life in general) is possible, sure, but the easiest process might in the end be simply writing them down. Sometimes it takes a lot more time & effort to avoid a little work than that little work would have consumed in the first place.

Hmmm... well I don't DJ, but reality checks are the easiest technique to LD, so it yar not able to commit to those, then you probably can't commit to LDing. Check out this thread:

DJ is one way of remembering dreams
RC is the easiest tech to get dream into your head. Not the best, but it is easy. There is thread after thread of other ways to attain lucidity, but I would recommend this as a basic starter technique to help you find your feeling:

      Thanks for the replies guys.
I expected these kinds of answers but i think il be able to at least start a DJ. However RC il just do them when i remember them randomly
And i would rather train to have WILDs than DILDs.

If your going to do RCs then I would recomend doing them when you notice a dream sign or something strange. It helps for me because the RC's seem to have more meaning when I do that way.
