False awakening in a dream but not a "lucid" dream...?

Leaves you vulnerable to having a real false awakening when u have a real lucid dream?
I have had dreams where I'm telling my family about a dream that I had but I still haven't woken up.
In waking life, I've been trying to prepare for lucid dreaming and realize that me having those type of dreams where I tell someone about a dream that I've had can lead me to having multiple false awakenings.

Try to get in the habit of doing a reality check every time you wake to catch these false awakenings.

Last night i tried a SSILD bit woke up without remembering any drems. I asumed i failed and went back to bed but i had big trouble going back to sleep. This got me pissed because i knew i had to get up early for work. I went to my window to adjust the blinds to make the room darker but they got tangled up in my plant which got me more frustrated. I still couldn't sleep. When I woke in the morning I felt rested and my blinds were in order... I'm still not sure if it was a FA or not :p

      FA most likely

Do the nose pinch *every single time* before you leave your bed. If you make a habit out of it and it eventually evolves into second nature, it will get you lucid sometimes.

I've had HI that made me jump out of my bed because I thought I heard someone breaking into my house. The glass shattering was so real, I bolted up in my bed, armed myself with a knife and went downstairs to look. No glass, nothing happened, everything was perfectly right. I put the knife on my table that I have next to my bed and went back to sleep... I was so pumped with adrenaline still that it took ages to sleep.
Next morning: no knife beside my bed, I feel as if I have slept well, no signs of either broken glass or me getting up at night and checking out our house... with the knowledge I have now this would give me a chuckle, but back then this really frightened me
