      What did i experience?

I woke up and then (after turning my alarm off) tried to go back to sleep. I closed my eyes and i started getting what felt like a million random thoughts a minute all in different voices....... Each about 1-3 seconds long... They were not my thoughts, i was not in control. It was like being bombarded with advertisements over and over for a few minutes.. They were mostly in advertisement voices that you hear on TV and on the radio, like my brain was trying to sell me something. It was too overwhelming so i do not remember a single thought...... At the same time my body was shaking my heart was racing and there was really loud white-noise and hums under the voices i was hearing........ After 2-3 minutes i opened my eyes and got up... It was about 8am. I had never experienced this before but i hope it happens again tomorrow.

One time i did wake up and then tried to go back to sleep without even opening my eyes, this was 1 of the only 2 times i have lucid dreamed (Tho it was only about 5-10 seconds before i got overwhelmed and woke up. My first experience lucid dreaming was when i was in a normal dream and then i looked in the mirror which made me lucid as half my head was missing, something didn't seem right which made me question if i was dreaming or not. I woke up immediately due to shock due to consciously seeing myself with half a head.)

It sounds like hypnagogia, a hallucinogenic state that one can experience during closed eyes late at night before sleep. Sometimes I see visuals, sometimes I hear voices, but these aren't part of metal health issues but due to the transitional phase between waking and sleeping states. I've only experienced it a few times, first time I ever experienced it I saw visuals, mostly random street scenes and road junctions, but my last experience, or some experiences I've had have been rather profound being told things like secrets of the universe or ideas for stories that I simply can not remember. It's one part of dream recall that I've struggled with, as it's always those things you think of while drifting off to sleep that slip your mind as opposed to the ones you experience during actual sleeping states. It's like some little hidden zone in between the two where creative greatness resides but bringing back all the information you're given is always a challenge. The last thing I remember was "... and it has to be geometrically perfect." it's almost as if someone was telling me how to build monuments or create art that resonates with the universe, much like the ancients did, almost as if to say for the monuments to have meaning and spiritual effect they must have meaning, be hamonious and geometrically perfect.

Don't worry about it, you achieved something many people can not and have not. May you have many more experiences of hypnagogia in the future, I think there's a lot of potential to be found in this state of consciousness.

I have experienced this during an intense mushroom high but never via Dreaming... It was freaky (mostly annoying) and there was no way out of it just had to wait for the peak to end. If I experienced it via HH I probably would have ended it. If it was cool stuff (flurry's of cool visions) I would have been all for it especially now. I am all about hallucinations at this point now that I can tell the difference lol. Back then I had never had a lucid dream. I would have been reality checking like crazy lol.
