Thread: Brainwave Generator

Anyone else have trouble with this thing.. like when i listen to the user made presets, it never seems to have any effect on me. Everyone posts how wonderful it made them fell and everything, but i never feel anything. any suggestion??

I've found out there's times that i'm more sensitive to and times it doesnt work... I think its better to relax your self first, before you go listening to presets because the nearer your own brains freq is to the preset, the better it will work. WHat I've found out is that most presets try to bring you to a lower level to relax you, so if you're relaxed yourself you're going to feel it sooner, if you're active you might not feel anything for a long while because your brain needs time to adjust... (i think...)

The "harmonic" preset has a pretty powerful effect on me...

On some computers it won't play stereo sound on bwgen. It's a software glitch. I have not used it recently because of this.

Just relax, dont start listening to it straight away when you lie/sit down, give yourself time to relax, then really focus on the sound as if you were meditating but on the sound, dont focus too hard though, listen to it as you would your favourite song, just let go and let it take you away. And make sure youre not worrying/thinking about things you have to do etc. It normally works for me but last night I was thinking about stuff and not relaxed, people kept phoning me so I had to turn it off. Its a bit like meditation really i think, dont expect it to do something/wait for something to happen..just let go. Hope this helps.

oh and maybe talk to yourself in a relaxed way, like, i am relaxing/i will have a LD - depends what your aim is.

Those sounds just really annoy me.

Anyway, are you using your headphones? It doesn't work unless you are using them. It plays 300Hz in one ear and 304Hz in the other to make your brain think its 4Hz, so if you just listen to it with speakers, it will just sound like two different pitched sounds with no effect.

Hahaha. I'm deleting it right after this post, my computer, headphones or not, will not run bwgen in stereo.

Now it is gone.

Worked a little though, but not the full desired effect.

I think mine plays in stereo - on the configuration wizard i hear 'left' 'right' separately but i can hear a faint noise in the other headphone when it tests the stereo output...does this mean its not stereo? it works for me but maybe i dont get the full effect either.

If i play it into a wav file and convert it to mp3 would it then play as originally intended or just copy the no stereo effect of the pc onto the wav/mp3 file?
