Bear in mind that becoming lucid, and staying that way is quite a delicate balance between maintaining the dream and not waking up, so don't expect to get it immediately. The symptoms you describe are all good indicators that you are on the right track. Keep practicing, but remember that one of the keys is to try to stay a bit detached from the dream and not get to excited or you will wake up and lose the dream. You almost have to distract yourself, which can include getting involved (rub hands, spin), but that is sort of the opposite of remaining detached. This balance differs from person to person, so there is a sense that you must find what works for you.
