Question Too excited to pass transition. Need help.

Hello, I’m new to this forum. I’ve read about lucid dreaming few years ago and I also had a few low level lucid dreams (accidentally), but I woke up after I realized that they were just dreams.

However, last week, I accidentally had two short vivid lucid dreams ever. In the first dream, I was walking and then flying through a door. A door that led to a beautiful green prairie. Then I forced myself to wake up because I was so excited and freaked out.

As for the second dream, I woke up inside my own room, and I saw a bunch of moving colorful images on my TV. I knew I was dreaming, but my mind was too tired to even get up from bed.

After the two lucid dreams, I started to look for tutorials on Google and YouTube about lucid dream techniques. I also started a dream journal last week.

During my research, I’ve found methods such as FILD and WILD. I tried FILD but it didn’t work quite well for me, so I moved on to WILD.

For the first few attempts of WILD, I had this “chill” or “cold” sensation all over my body, but unfortunately, I snapped out of it because I heard noises.

Then, last night, I tried WILD+Binaural Beat and for the first time ever, I was so close to LD and I could feel the transition but I got so excited and lost it.

So, any tips for me so I don’t get too excited? I will try WILD+Binaural Beat again this afternoon, and hopefully, I will get my first intentional lucid dream.

Thanks and sorry if I posted this in the wrong subforum though.

When you get excited, try slowing down your breathing.

Yes Dolphin is right, one of the most important things is to control your breath. Also relax your muscles but not like you focus on them but more like you deny their existence . Feel like you are not really connected to this body. Let the dream take you away.
