Had first intentional LD with WILD, a bit scared, is it normal

So I woke from a mid afternoon nap and didnt move, by doing this I can sort of induce body paralysis ive noticed. I also heard if you keep going and focus on staying concious you can have a lucid dream. So after not moving I get a tingly sensation and I feel like the sensation is in my ears too idk if thats normal. The sleep paralysis always comes if I dont move after waking from a nap. I focused on not moving and began seeing weird things like cartoons but it wasnt a dream. Then I wake up in my room but its a false awakening and im aware it is. Ive officially accomplished my first lucid dream but I had a very difficult time making what I wanted happened. I quickly lost control.

Im shocked about how real it felt, still is the paralysis feeling normal? Strong tingling sensation in your ears and head every time when you stay still after waking from a nap.

What you have described is completely normal - you will almost always experience sleep paralysis when WILD'ing. With practice, your ability to control the resultant dream will dramatically increase. Don't be scared though
I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.

      Congrats on the lucid dream!

The things you experienced are totally normal, but they don't sound like sleep paralysis.
True SP is actually very uncommon, and it's not something you should be looking for during WILDs.
It sounds like what you experienced were the normal sensations of falling asleep, eg. vibrations and hypnagogic imagery (HI).
DreamViews' WILD teacher, Sageous, describes all such sensations as "noise" in his thread here:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/wild/13228...out-noise.html

The type of WILD you had is called a DEILD (Dream Exit Induced Lucid Dream).
Many people find that this is the easiest way to achieve a WILD, since you're already so close to falling asleep.
Instead of focusing on the sensations in your waking life body, try to visualise a dream scene you'd like to enter - the easiest is to imagine yourself back in the dream you just awoke from.
The "noise" is a good sign that you're falling back asleep, so acknowledge it, but don't make it a focus of your next WILD attempt.

For dream control, having a goal in mind can help.
It can be something simple like touching your surroundings to see what it feels like, or something more magical like flying.
Try to remind yourself of that goal throughout the day, and imagine yourself becoming lucid and remembering that goal.

Good luck with your future lucid dreams!
