      FILD questions

Hello, I have a question about FILDs.

      1) Can I perform it before going to bed? Like when I'm really tired that I can fall asleep in seconds?

      2) If not, I plan on using them with WBTBs. What time should I wake up? I sleep at around 1 and wake up at 8:40.

      Thanks in advance.

      Hey chadol, whats up o/

FILD is a DEILD technique and you need to interrupt your REM (or close to it) to succeed
WBTB with FILD didn't worked for me, because every time I got too awake before got back to bed
I usualy prefer doing FILD right after woke
I don't think you can do it before bed, because to attain REM you need to pass per another four sleep stages
Well, never say never, so if you could do before bed it will categorize in a WILD technique

As a FILD user, I usualy set a calm alarm to ring after 3 hour of sleep, after turn it off I start the technique
this process works for me almost every time
"I'll wait here by your side
      'Till you fall asleep
      I'll wait until you cry
      All over me
      the tears you hide inside"

Well, thank you. I haven't really tried FILD but if getting too awake for it with WBTB is the problem, I can definitely cope with that (I am a very heavy sleeper).

I have never known that FILD is a DEILD technique. I can never DEILD, because I never wake up during the night. In fact, I can hardly wake up in the morning, too.
Tonight I'll try to FILD by waking up in the middle of the night, hope it goes well.

      Thank you for your response.

      You're welcome man

If you get too awake, just relax and wait for your body to be asleep but you need to maintain yourself awake, try thinking something for a while..
Then you empty your mind and do your stuff

I'm here waiting for your results, post them !
I wish you the best o/

Ugh, I got up in the middle of the night, but I found out that the alarm didn't wake me up - mosquitoes did. I could remember a dream that I dreamt before I woke up, so I guess I at least found out the right time to wake up.

I was too occupied scratching mosquito bites that when I got back to bed I couldn't fall asleep.

Thanks to your help (and mosquitoes') I now have the right time to wake up.

      Happy LDing!
