Loss of motor skills in dreams?

      Hello everyone,

I was flipping thru my dream journal last night and was reminded of a dream I had some weeks ago. In the dream someone handed me a satchel and I remember hopelessly fumbling around with it in my hand. For some reason I had lost all of the dexterity in my hand. It was just kind of flopping around as if I had been slepping wrong and it fell asleep. Is this a common accurance in dreams? I'm hoping that it will occur more often and I can use it as a dream sign because all I have riight now are ketsup packets.

      Thanks,

      Nick

maybe you were sleeping on it wrong, and that fact was passed over to your dream
might be a laugh to intentionally restrict the blood flow to your arm and see if if happens again (belt, shoe lace, etc.)

actually, that's a dumb idea. Don't do it

Well I wouldn't go about it that way, that may cause some damage, but perhaps I could try sleeping on it.

This can be a good indicator of a dream...so try to train yourself to realize every time you have motor deficiency, that you are dreaming...and become lucid, baby, yah.
