Reply to this thread with any tips/tricks you may have for progress in lucid dreaming.
Here's a quick 5 to kick off-

1. Keep a dream journal and READ IT as well, there's no point in making a DJ just for it to sit there and not be read!
2. Do reality checks often throughout your daily routine, my favourite it to hold my nose and try to breathe through it. If you can, you're dreaming!
3. Find dream signs in your DJ. If you can find something that happens a lot in your dreams, or a place you are often in, try doing reality checks when something like that happens in real life, then you'll be more likely to do RCs in a dream when you are doing that activity or in that place.
4. Persevere, if you can ski, it doesn't mean you can ride a skateboard- stick to one technique that best suits you, stick to it and don't switch techniques too often or you'll never be able to have LDs with one technique consistently
5. Never give up, believe in yourself and don't expect shortcuts. I have never had a lucid dream as of today and have been trying for over a year but I won't give up! You can't ride a bike without climbing on- you may be a natural, but like most it takes hard work and perseverance to have your first LD, but even though I have never had one, I know it'll be worth it!
