      Remee?

Has anyone here ever bought and used a remee, and if so, was it worth the money? Did it have any significant effects on your dreams/LDs and if so, what was the effect?

My gf and I had backed their kickstarter and bought two Remees. My suggestion is to look for alternatives. It does not read REM cycles and is uncomfortable to wear. It was close to impossible for us to fall asleep nor did it enhance our lucid dreams.

I used a remee on about 100 nights before it broke. (I was already well accostomed using a sleep mask. Remee is a bit bigger than a typical sleep mask, but for me that was OK, it was quite good at blocking out external light. It can get hot on warm weather, though.) I tried many different variations of the settings. I have a lot of dreams and good dream recall, and am not a rank beginner LDer. I saw the signals only two times in dreams, both times waking me instantly. For an EILD device to work, it really needs to signal reliably when you're already in REM, in order for you have a proper chance to tune the settings to get you lucid without waking you.

It is potentially useful for after-WBTB when you know you're going to be close to REM. But unfortunately, again, mine broke before I could experiment sufficiently in that mode. It's not useful for the "wear it at bedtime" approach, unless your REM timing is rock solid and consistent, and you can map them out sufficiently accurately.
