Lucid but don't fully embrace what that means?

Earlier this week I had another lucid dream. It was a wild. I was resting on my couch and my body locked up. Then I started feeling myself being swung around the room. I opened my eyes with a little difficulty. (Opening up my eyes in a lucid dream is a little bit of a struggle but nothing major). I could see the room I was flying around I recognized none of the furniture. I didn't even have to do any reality checks. I kind of just went into the dream knowing it wasn't real. So even though I knew it wasn't real I made no attempt to take control. While I was flying around the room I looked over to the closet. There was a ghostly looking woman standing inside the closet. Even though I was aware it wasn't real it still spooked me out. I shut my eyes again and just allowed myself to keep flying around the room until I woke up.

At first I didn't think that could really be called a lucid dream. But simply knowing it's not real makes it a lucid dream right. I found something on the different levels of lucid dreaming. It mentioned being lucid but not fully embracing what it means is level one or two or something like that.

Yes, perhaps you were semi-lucid which occurs quite commonly. Next time you become lucid, do a reality check to fully embrace the dream and stabilize it, you will definitely notice a change in the environment and feeling!
