      How can I have HI

I tried many times to experiment HI but even when meditating, or trying wild or going to sleep I've never had it. What can I do?

      Heya there,

I guess how easy or hard it is for people to get to the point where they start seeing hypnagogic imagery (HI) depends a lot on how they fall asleep and their personal physiology. Luckily, you don't really need HI to get lucid dreams.

For me though, HI happens automatically, providing I can quiet my mind enough. If I lie in bed thinking or visualising too much, it won't happen. However, if I can just relax, calm my mind, and try to be aware of any strange thought, imagining, or concept I find myself happen, the hypnagogics will grow from there.

Also note that HI aren't like dreams. Certainly at first, they're far less solid. They're more like day dreams, or just imaginings. Except that with daydreams/imaginings, you choose what you daydream about. With HI, it comes to seemingly at random (from your unconsciousness). They do get stronger as you pay attention on them, but at the start, they're very easy to dismiss for just a stray thought or a random imagine you conjure up in your mind.

      Just my 2 cents,

I never "had" it either untill I started paying attention.

HI, or HH are images or "videos" we see as we are falling asleep. They can also bee sensations or sounds. If we don't pay attention and don't have intent to see them, then our mind falls asleep pretty much at the same time as the body.

When we are WILDing, we are purposely keeping our mind awake while our body is falling asleep. That's when we can see, hear or feel HH.

When you are experiencing HH, do some motionless RCs. Try to move your arm, sit up, stand up, roll off you bed, levitate up just by thinking about it. If you move, you will know you are in a dream already and what moved is your dream/astral body. You are lucid and you can walk away to have some adventures.

I still don't know how HI feels. It is like closing the eyes and see images instead of the blackness of the eyelids?
I know that HI aren't necessary for lucid dreams but I think they're a easier way to achieve wild
