Well lucid dreaming isn't about controlling dreams, it's about recognizing them and familiarising(I don't know if that's a real word) or distinguishing them from reality. |

Okay so last night, after 2 years of trying, I think I had my first lucid dream. |

You now know what they "feel" like so that is huge! Yours sounds like my first one sort of. I was in a room playing with my son and became lucid. Then the room was sort of dark and like you it was Wow, I'm in a dream! My first wasn't much but my next few were awesome. Hope it is the same for you. Suggestion....touch something next time. As you test the other senses it becomes more real. Or focus on the floor...but no more than 2 seconds in my experience. Dreams jump around with short focus on things so I try to mimic that. |

It was absolutely lucid; for a dream to be lucid, you simply have to be aware that you are dreaming. |

The problem with quotes on the internet is that you can never be sure if they are genuine. -- Deuteronomy 22:8
