      Question about stabilization

Everytime I try to stabilize a dream using the verbal commands STABILIZE LUCIDITY NOW and I'M ANCHORED IN LUCIDITY I get very dizzy and everything starts spinning and shaking until I can't stand on my feet and I eventually wake up. Does anyone know why this is happening?

      Hi,

Some stabilization techniques will work better than others, it's trial and error. It's better to think rather than speak or shout in dreams. Try saying it in your mind rather than saying it in the conventional sense. If you find that the dream starts to destabilize, quickly employ a different stabilization method in order to regenerate the dream.

      Hope this helps

I like to really observe things and take in all the details.

      Hey there,

Like Phoebus mentioned, the best and easiest way to stabilize and ground the dream, in my experience, is simply to immerse yourself in it. Observe the details, listen to the sounds, touch things, smell things.

Generally speaking, the more attention you give a dream, the more vivid and grounded it gets. Various stabilization techniques work on this principle, but they risk having an averse affect because they're either focusing your mind on theorycrafting (I should spin), or the dream ending (I should do this or the dream will end), thereby withdrawing your attention from the dream itself and thus making it less grounded.

      Just my 2 cents,

Thanks for your suggestions. I'll try them on my next LD.
