      What exactly is a REMdreamer?

What does it do exactly and how does it work?

REM-Dreamer is a product that is basically a sleep mask with red LED lights over the eye sockets. Of course, it's a little bit more complex than that; it also is supposedly able to track when your REM periods begin. The goal of REM-Dreamer is to catch you in your REM periods, when you're most likely dreaming vividly, and have the red LED lights over the eye sockets shine a dim light, bright enough to affect visual stimuli but not enough to wake you from sleep. In a perfect world, once the red LED light begin to light up, you are to train yourself to notice these red lights appearing in your dreams and realize that you're dreaming.

It's a very good idea, and definitely not the first of its kind. Stephen LaBerge also attempted this, Nova Dreamer. It's hard to create a sleeping mask that can hold the technology of the lights, and detection system while staying comfortable and reliable.

Recently a new mask has been produced called Aurora, https://iwinks.org/. I've been following it, and it looks very promising!
