      Question

      Howzit,

Ok, so last night I woke after a few hours, got up, blah blah, went back to bed and attempted to WILD..!
After a short period, I felt a subtle yet noticeable shift in my body, like a change in tempo or something, then I felt the onset of what I thought was SP, I didn't want to be afraid so I gently pulled the covers up over my shoulders, it was hard work to move, but I managed, then I started to notice my vision coming even though my eyes were shut and I also started vibrating, first time I've had vibrations, I was ready to lucid dream, so I waited and thought about my goals. After a few minutes it was obvious I wasn't getting anywhere, so I gave up and lay there reflecting. The thing is, when I finally moved, the covers were still around my waist. So what happened, was it a FA, a missed lucid dream or a missed AP..?
Also any advice on where I went wrong or what I should have done..?
      Thanks in advance.

      Nicho..!

It was a FA and a missed lucid dream. You didn't do anything upon realizing you were dreaming because you were waiting for something to happen. You should have tried to make that something happen rather than waiting for it to happen on its own.

Going by what I learned I would like to first suggest against associating WILD with sp. That aside, if you do catch yourself in a sp and have hard time moving and still move. It's very likely you have entered a dream state. I am very aware during my sp and almost all movements you are able to do and still continue sp don't really take place in the waking reality - stuff like pulling covers up. I also would like to say not to be afraid of sp. I can't stress this enough. It's your mental models that manifest scary stuff. Also if you enter into a lucid dream with a fear mindset, that's all you'll have time to do in the lucid, trying to get away from scary stuff. I had experienced sp countless times and I say with complete certenity I have yet to have even the slightest scary sp. Surreal maybe, but never outright scary. Just like anything else different people have different natural affinity. I'm a fairly experienced lucid dreamer, but I have trouble going into a lucid dream directly from waking state. It's very rare for me. It will be for most people with highly unstable sleep patterns. The best way not to miss lucid dreams is to do reality checks even if you think you are awake. ^^

Thanks for the reply, I've pretty much conditioned myself not to fear SP, however I find the more I'm covered up, the better I deal with it..! I don't particularly fear SP, more so than what I see and hear during, I know it's my mind and once I realise, I calm myself. I have no fear of LDing, quite the opposite in fact, I was really encouraged by my failure, lol, any result is better than no results eh..?
So if I've got this right, the next time this happens, instead of waiting for a dream to take place, I should just get up and get on with it..?

      Once again, thanks in advance,
      Nicho..!

Yeah, I thought as much. I'll mark it up to experience and make sure I get of my lazy ass the next time, lol..!
