      crazy question about taste/smell/touch

edit / / / I'm not LDing....wrong post in wrong forum, I don't intentionally know that I'm dreaming during the dream, I think that it's actually really happening...Sometimes false awakening over and over.

I know this is going to seem really weird, and for some reason now I decided to find out others opinions on this topic.

I googled this question and saw only 1 other exactly same question as the one I'm going to ask.

I've been having dreams for over a decade with the same distinct taste, different girls.

This is going to seem very crazy and silly, but I've been having dreams about being around an attractive girl and when she's naked I get the most AWFUL smell/taste of rotting disgusting flesh taste/smell (I didn't think of it being rotting flesh but the other guy I saw posted said this, I just thought of it as being an extremely dirty girls crotch).

The smell is EXACTLY the same every time and it bothers me pretty bad, the very first few were giving oral sex( I haven't given oral sex to a girl at that point in my life ) and I could taste it even though I smelled it. Now it's to the point that I don't give oral and only dream about her being naked up close and I can smell her.

Last night I had a dream again which made me wanted to post about it, another funny thing is the dream, the girls butt goes across my face and I feel pubic hairs(as real as it gets to feeling real)go across my face with a awful odor. I can still taste/smell and it's always the same...

I hope this isn't too inappropriate of a question to ask on here...sorry if it is.

I have dreams of dying all the time also, and dreams of waking up into a dream into another dream (false awakening). Asking god to forgive me for all my sins while I think I'm dead(pitch black). I'm an atheist now, so no more of asking that.

I have intense lucid dreams constantly and nightmares too. So bad I have to wake up and run in the other room and make sure I'm not dreaming.

      Any opinions?

Well, I am not going to finish my cereal now.

Um... If you have intense lucid dreams, then you can change what your dreams are like from inside those dreams instead of just going with the flow or waking yourself up. Stop whatever bad is happening and do what you want. :/ I guess I don't know what you are asking. It is pretty hard to change a smell in a non lucid dream, but it should be easy in a dream that you know that you are dreaming (lucid dream)

I accidently thought lucid dreaming was something else.

I'm not intentionally trying to lucid dream, it's just intense dreams that feel real.

I have had lucid dreams that I knew I was dreaming that were insane cool, such as flying(usually I'm aware and I'll fly)

The dreams I'm talking about above are just dreams that feel insanely real....I dream almost every night, multiple times and I can recount a good bit of the dreams, especially the one's before I wake up.

Sorry to spoil your cereal lol, imagine how I feel tasting and smelling that foul odor and can remember it...

I have temporal lobe seizures and I think that has something to do with me having so many intense dreams...The seizures have a deja vu feeling to them before I black out

You could try having a real odour in your bedroom at night, and see if that influences the odours you smell in your dreams?

Don't forget that opposites might occur, i.e. a pleasant real odour may not work, but perhaps a not-so pleasant one will cause a pleasant one in your dreams. Just a thought.

For your nightmares, why not try and go lucid and confront them? It is supposed to be a good way of ridding yourself of them.
