so what about taste, smell and touch?......and wee?

I'm sure this subject has probably been covered somewhere already buuutt...

does anybody else experience taste, touch and smell vividly? i don't recall smelling anything vividly in a dream but i do recall the touch of wallpaper etc and have tasted the best ever lemon meringue pie i've ever (never?) eaten in my life whilst dreaming.

also had a few close shaves when i've dreamt about going for a wee and just about realised i was dreaming in time to get up and go. i remember an occasion when my (ex) girlfriend said it was ok to wee on her paintings in the bath (she never painted) because the toilet was blocked and just as i was about to open the flood gates, caught myself thinking, 'that's a bit odd, i"m sure this isn't normal'.

but i have absolutely never, ever wet the bed..... ...ever.

I definitely have experienced touch and taste. (I even ate a diabetes-flavored cupcake once. Never have I tasted anything so sugary. )

As for the urge to urinate... ugh. I hate it when that happens in the middle of the dream. ("Hey, Din. Enjoying your dream? Well guess what? NOW YOU HAVE TO PEE! BWAHAHAHA!")

Do ensure that you are awake before using the restroom, by the way. :B

Taste and feeling are usually the most reliable senses for me. I can smell sometimes, but usually it's a dry, bland smell. Often I will enter a lucid dream with little sight and either work sight into it or lose the dream altogether. The same way, lucid dreams will either end with me losing sight, or me opening my eyes (in reality). I have a white noise machine that always stays on. When I enter a dream through a WILD, I will always hear that at first. In other words, visually and tangibly I am completely within the dream, but audio-wise, I'm hearing what's really happening in my room as I'm asleep. If I become more immersed into the dream, the white noise will fade, and I'll hear things like birds chirping, rain, silence, or whatever else is going on in the dream.

On having to pee: I do remember one time I became lucid after I got out of bed, stood up next to the bed, and started peeing on the wall. This was one of those rare times where the sheer absurdity of it all was enough to make me realize I was dreaming. I remember my bladder feeling relieved afterwards. When I awoke from the dream, I had to pee.

Taste: I've experienced this many times in my dreams. It's usually experienced when I eat something very delicious like a chocolate cake or cookies. Sometimes there are very horrible tastes though.

Smell: I rarely smell things in dreams. I sniffed a flower and it smelled like a mix of fruits. I don't normally smell things because I don't pay attention to my sense of smell in real life.

Touch: Does feeling someone shoot you in the spine count? Because that dream happened like a year ago and it still hurts just to think about it. I've also felt things like pillows, trees, water, and sand. They feel mostly like they would in real life.

Wee: I've done this a few times in dreams. I did not wet the bed after waking up though.

Taste, vision and touch are the most vivid senses for me. And you most definitely have to try eating something in a dream. Dream food is the most beautiful ever! And to do with peeing.. Your dream body doesn't require your normal body senses.

I know how it feels like being shot in a dream. I had a nightmare once in which I was shot in the head twice by Gyro Gearloose from Donald Duck. I won't sue you for laughing out loud right now, but it was actually a horrible nightmare. Despite having two bullets fired to my head and falling to the ground, I didn't die in the dream.
