Your REM cycle is probably going to change when you change your sleep schedule, but it should even out once you get used to it. The only difference is that instead of getting into REM sleep around 8:00 or 9:00 you start REM sleep around 5:00. The actual cycles themselves (when you dream) don't become any more or less frequent. Did you just change this recently? If you just started going to bed earlier a week or so ago then I'd suggest giving it another week or two to see if it continues. If this has been going on for a while then it may be something outside of sleep. |
