Question Influencing children to lucid dream?

Could you get a child to start lucid dreaming by sort of becoming their trigger to lucid dream?

By this I mean that during waking life you do awareness checks frequently with them. For example asking them what the feel, smell, or hear. If they respond with only obvious things, ask them about if they can feel their clothes or see shadows or hear anything in the silence. Doing this frequently until they know exactly what you're talking about if you ask them what they are aware of. If you make it so this is just a normal part of your interactions, and then they dream about you doing an awareness check with them they would become lucid right?

I'm not a father or really interact with children much since I'm in college, but I just had the idea and thought it might need a more experienced oneironaut's perspective.

There's a lucid dreaming lesson from this kids show at 11:30:

I agree with this show's way of teaching lucid dreaming to kids. It teaches kids that dreaming is just like playing pretend, so they can change dreams into anything they want to because the dream is coming from them. All they have to do to change their dream is use their imagination.

I see that, but that doesn't help them realize they are dreaming... I know as a kid I had really hard time differentiating dream from waking life, so I had no control either. Getting them to realize they're dreaming through getting them to pay more attention to reality and their senses in waking life and possibly as a dream character, it would be a more active method than just telling them to use their imagination. That seems more of a lesson for kids that are lucid naturally with no control in their dreams. At least that's how it seems to me.

The lesson is teaching kids to lucid dream by motivating them to realize that the dreams are coming from them. They are motivating them by telling them if they can realize the dreams are coming from them, they can control their dreams. When somebody is motivated to do something, it is more likely to be on their mind.

IMO, presenting lucid dreaming in a way that they perceive as being useful (getting rid of nightmares+having fun) is going to motivate them more than presenting it as something that requires work (paying attention.) Kids want to play!
