I think you can pick one or two techniques and just stick with it for a month to see what happens. For me it's always a mix anyway. Try to MILD as I go back to sleep, but I don't keep chanting mantras forever, if I feel like I have a good feeling about it, I just keep thinking about the feeling and try to catch myself going into a dream, which I imagine as a weird WILD. And every time I wake up during the night I take that as a WBTB chance and redo the above. So really every night you get a few shots at this.
I just started practicing with a good routine lately and I had one lucid yesterday, and two this morning! They were all very short, but this is actually the first time I had lucid dreams one day after the other, which before I always subconsciously told myself was impossible because I wouldn't be that lucky, lol.
