      Extreme laziness help

Ok so this has been happening for a month maybe basically i have problem with my recall but the reason is it takes me 10-20 minutes to get out of bed and that's when i use all my will power and basically forget 80% of the dream because it takes me so long to get up and record them.

Does anyone have this problem ?

Also does anyone know what causes extreme laziness ?

But there is a pros to this basically i have been doing unintentional DEILDs because i'm to lazy to move and open my eyes when i wake up

You're too lazy to get up? So even if you try your hardest, you're simply not capable of getting up even though you're awake? I've never heard of something like that before

Well, I would recommend that you try your best to get up and record your dream, as soon as you've gone through what happens in it, right after waking up. But if that's not possible, you should focus on your dream and try to remember as much as you can. Keep thinking about what happened in the dream until you can get up and then record it.

      I typically slap myself

Another way would be to place a loud alarm well out of arms reach FORCING you to get out of bed to stop it.

Deep in the human unconscious is a pervasive need for a logical universe that makes sense. But the real universe is always one step beyond logic.

I just find it weird to use a voice recorder but it's worth the shot like they say there is a first time for everything

If you only remember a small portion of a dream, and start to lose details as soon as you wake, there is a simple solution.
      It's a sort of Meditation.
Just sit up in bed, and let your mind go blank.
Do not try to recall the rest of your dreams with any mental effort.
Just picture the small portion of dream that you do remember.
Keep going to the end of your segment of dream, then to the beginning.
After a few min's you will find other dreams popping back into your memory.
There should be no effort involved, just calm, relaxing recall.
      Works for me.

Sleep with your phone under your pillow. Install some phone app dream journal or even just use the notes in your phone. Then when you wake up you can quickly note down a 1-2 sentence description of your dream.

This also has the advantage of helping you remember dreams that you have during earlier REM periods. Let's say you have a bunch of dreams in your early REM periods, don't write them down, and then have a bunch more in the last REM period of the night. You'll typically remember the dreams from the last REM period, so the earlier ones go forgotten if you're waiting until you get up in the morning to note down your dreams.

I used to say that pen and paper was better, but since converting to using my phone recently I've been able to store a lot more dreams that I would have simply forgotten otherwise. A lot of times I wake up in the middle of the night, after some dreams, but I'm just too tired to do anything other than go back to sleep. Since it only takes 30 seconds or less to grab my phone from under my pillow and note down the brief gist of my dream, I can do that and go back to sleep without issue.

Thanks man but the brightness of the screen will wake me up and give me insomnia and i like using pen and paper for multiple reasons first i could draw illustrations that will help me recall the dream without reading it also it's easier to navigate older dreams.

      Thanks for the help anyway
