      Problem with Dream Sex

I have never, in any of the sexual dreams I've had, been able to come. Of course you might say that I was just getting excited and woke up, but if that were true I'd wake up far more often and remember many more sexual dreams. Even when lucid and trying to maintain control I still fail. I have never once had a wet dream, but am quite capable during my waking hours. Does anyone else have his problem? What do you think could be the cause of this problem?

Funny how you see it as a problem. Some people would be glad if this was the case for them, to save any embarrassing sticky wake-ups...

It might simply be that it's just not enough stimulation.

From a girl's perspective...I usually don't get off in my LD sex dreams...which is why I usually opt to do other more interesting things. I think I've only gotten off from LD sex maybe 3 times and it was totally mental. If that makes any sense. Like I had to concentrate really hard mentally and sort of ignore the physical that wasn't getting me off. Eh, I dunno.

It gets old though that's for sure. I prefer flying or experimenting.

Maybe it isn't a huge problem, but if I'm going to have sexual experiences in a dream I want to be able to enjoy them to their fullest extent, of course I might regret that later...

I have had sex a few times and even in non-lucid dreams. It is always really great but like you it never seems to be complete. Tests in labs have shown that even when a climax is achieved most of the time it is not a wet dream. I remember one time where it just lasted so long without a climax. It reminds me of some women that say they enjoy sex even without the climax in waking life.

I've never woken up to a sticky mess.

      It's almost too convenient.

      ------

Yes, yes it's too convenient. How can it be sex with no cleanup? It's like there's no work involved!

Typically, Wet Dreams become rarer as one advances away from one's sexual peak. If you are a young man, still, the indication is that you are approaching what will become a state of impotence. But it is nothing to worry about. Sex is far over-rated. Most people ignore their careers while focussing almost entirely on their sex lives, and then, later in life regret that they had been such idiots. This will not be your problem.

Oh, yeah, impotence--great way to encourage the guy. Sheez.

Generally what's required is being able to extend the dream. Eventually, it happens.

And, for fear of turning bright red, I believe I will say no more than that.

For me, whenever I realise that I am having a sexual dream everything goes terribly wrong. The first thing that happens is that I am no longer me, im more, looking down at myself... Then when I see myself turn around, Im no longer myself, but that person will be someone else (eg: main character from that 70's show). Imediately after that things get wacky, he gets violated and I wake up. These dreams are very infrequent, but the one I just described happened a few nights ago.

You could wake up and then forget the dream that you just had. Or you could just wake up for few instants. If I'm correct, one wake up many times during the night, without remembering anything afterward.

Thus, the hypothesis that your dreams are interrupted by too much excitement still holds.

      Just speculating, I'm a newbie.

To have wet dreams is actually very ease:
Do not have any waking orgasm/ejaculations in 40 days !
      Or is it ? lol.

If you do manage to come in a lucid dream, trust me, it will be one hell of an experience! Keep trying and you'll get there. The rule with lucid dreams is this: persistence, persistence, persistence.
“The sleep is still in my eyes
The dream is still in my head
I heave a sigh and sadly smile
And lie a while in bed
I wish that it might come to pass
Not fade like all my dreams” —Rush

Ok not to be a wet blanket to the men out there, But I have read some where that it is impossible for men to have orgasms on an astral level. Women ,on the other hand, should have no problem. I found this weird and extremely gender bias.

But, If we could allow my inner hippy to shine for a brief second:

Maybe you should focus your LD talents on something a little more meaningful and a little less lustful. Personal sexual satisfaction should be the least of your concerns in an infinite world of self discovery and exploration.

      /end hippy

I'm not sure what this "astral level" is that you speak of, but I can assure you that it is indeed possible for men to orgasm in a dream. In any case, I don't see what's so bad about pursuing sexual desires in a dream. People seem to think there's something "wrong" or "non-meaningful" about sex, but you can't deny that it's one of our basic instincts. It's a big part of being alive, and indeed the only reason we are alive in the first place. Not only is it the giver of life, but a major source of love and happiness, two things that are sorely lacking in this world. If you're going to embark on a voyage of self discovery and exploration, you can't ignore your sexual side.

Love and happiness can exist without sexual contact.

There is nothing wrong with sex. But there is something wrong with unchecked desire. It clouds your thought and can manipulate you.

If I wasn’t so lazy I would look up what ever it was I was reading. Im sure it doesn’t apply to dreaming. Probably just OBE astral projection. So im prob just out of my element.

“Your out of your element Donnie!”
