Did I experience lucid delta sleep?

I know about Sageous' exploration into delta dreaming, and it seems esoteric and out of reach for me. Btw, calling Sageous to respond to this if he sees it. But recently I had a lucid dreaming experience where I did a WILD at the beginning of the night and experienced a strange phenomenon.

I WILD, and after the hypnagogia passed, I entered this strange darkness where I floated for a long time. I finally deduced I was ready to dream, so I opened my eyes. I could tell I was in my room, but it was very dark, hard to make out any shapes, and I could barely move my body. I go to a door, and I try to use the dream control technique so I visualize a plane on the other side. This is because I wanted to attempt the TotY. However on the other side is only more blackness. I am transported back to the dark state of being again, and I decide this time, I will watch my thoughts and meditate, simply experiencing the void.

I feel strong heat, then the icy coldness of the universe, I feel ripped apart atom by atom, then falling in a million directions at the same time. All in pitch black. However, for some reason I cannot keep control of my thoughts and always forget I am meditating and end up opening my eyes again and going for the door. And every time the door leads me back to the dark void.

I feel like the dream just started, but I woke up, checked my phone, and realized it had been 110 minutes since I first went to bed. What do you guys think about this? Just a strange dream or did I really consciously experience delta sleep? How can I explore this more? Should I try to WILD at the beginning of the night again tonight?

Well as far as I'm aware I haven't really experienced dreaming in delta sleep aside from one time, and that one time even despite being in delta sleep, the dream itself was fairly vivid but lasted only about 30 seconds or so.

You may have experienced a normal dream, 110 minutes seems about right for a first entire sleep cycle, you may have just went through the initial sleep phases and then hit REM, the dream plays out, it ends and it totals for 110 minutes or so.

Also I recommend doing WILD in conjunction with WBTB, you'll reach a true dream state far faster than if you did it when going to bed (unless maybe it happened rather fast for you? But it's about 90 minutes of waiting time minimum before a REM cycle starts at the beginning of your sleep.)
