Using hypnosis in a lucid dream?

I've used hypnosis for inducing lucid dreams many times, but I was just wondering what people's thoughts are on the idea of using self-hypnosis whilst actually in a lucid dream? Do you think it could have the potential for being even more effective than hypnosis in the waking state?

I just happened to notice how profoundly relaxed I am if I lie down in the dream world, like my body feels so floaty and euphoric and I feel so carefree and relaxed.

I guess that you wouldn't even need to induce the hypnotic trance because you're effectively already in one, seeing as how you're asleep and dreaming. You could just lie down in the dream world, float away into a void and say what you aim to achieve via the hypnosis.

Has anyone ever done anything like that?

e.g. You could even try the HILD technique in a lucid dream... Just get one lucid dream and then lie down, relax and say, with meaning and assertion, something like "Every time I dream, I will recognise that it is a dream and will become lucid". Anyone tried that?

Well it would be rather pointless since you are in a state that can be just as effective. Also it would make sense to do that since you we be within an altered state of mind within an altered state of mind. Thats like taking DMT and trying to have an acid trip within it...(hope that makes sense).

Well, the idea to me was that the altered state of mind inducing by lucid dreaming was simply a much more profound and effective version of the altered state of mind achieved via waking hypnosis? So the effect of suggestion in a lucid dream state would also be much more profound and effective than the same suggestion under waking hypnosis. I don't really know though. I'm really just speaking from experience of the profound relaxation achievable in the lucid state compared to that of hypnosis. I might be totally wrong, but still, I really want to try it next time I become lucid.

I've never thought about it, but that's an interesting idea. It seems that in a lucid dream there's already a potential for one's concious and subconcious minds to directly communicate with each other, so it seems there's no need to induce a trance. I've read a lot of posts where people say what they want in a lucid dream and it happens, and I wonder if that's actually a form of hypnosis already.

Well, I managed to successfully do it a couple nights ago.
Now only time will tell whether it had any real effect.
