      staying lucid

      hey all.

just wondering if someone can help me out.
I've had quite a few lucid dreams in which I mostly take off and start flying around the place. cept recently I tried to fly and felt myself getting kind of dragged back and spun round a bit by some force I couldn't control.

this happen to anyone? any techniques for getting past this kind of thing?

The opposing force is only doubt. It happens to most everybody, but you can overcome it easily. The best way is experience: Once you've done it before, it's no longer a challenge. The other way is nearly as simple: Stop thinking. Too many people overthink themselves so much they bog their dreams down with doubts or explanations. Weighty, unecessary things says I. If you just remove the majority of your thoughts, and fight to keep it that way, you can overcome most anything. For example, it's not: "I'm lucid, so I should be able to fly, but I'm worried that I'm forgetting something"
      It should be:
      "...I'm flying."

Don't worry about they why or how. They don't matter in a dream, anyways.
