Could any of you see this being effective?

Wake up and proceed with your day in a normal routine. After bathing, eating, etc; lay down and WILD. Think as if you're going about on your typical day and get out of bed. Imagine yourself leaving, driving away, and what-not. I attain lucidity with this method quite a bit. I know that it resembles WBTB, but the thinking is a tad bit different.
