I still dont know what this is...

ok well for the past couple months i've been having this problem in sleep - I dont know what it is, I dont know if i'm sleeping or not...I'm not in a dream state but I AM awake...I cant move my body but I can feel my self trying to force myself awake, INSIDE i'm thrashing all over the place, but my body wont move in bed it just lays there....(I'm trying to wake myself up) I cant stand it and sometimes I know im sleeping but cant make my eyes open....it feels like their sewed shut....

also this is related to Lucid Dreaming....I can never seem to keep a lucid, whenever I notice I'm having a lucid...I loose the lucid before I can have fun with it and actually indulge myself into the lucid...any help? :-/ thanks!!!

The first part of your message sounds like classic sleep paralysis...there is a lot of info on the subject on here.

As to not being able to maintain lucidity...try subtlety. Acknowledge the fact that you know you're dreaming...and affirm that to a DC or yourself. You might wake up at first, but don't become discouraged!

Try the WBTB technique...it seems to be a big help.

Last but not least...keep a journal! Whether here or just on a notepad by your bed...the masses can attest to this, and I am rapidly becoming an advocate myself.

I have always considered myself a natch...one who could LD at will. At one time, this was true, but after I started to have sleep disorders I have found the info on this site immeasurably helpful!!! There's lots of people here with new techniques and ideas...hopefully you'll find one that works for you too!

      Best of luck...
