Thread: Lucid Dreaming and The Matrix.

I’m not sure if anyone ever touched on this but has anybody ever realized the similarities between Lucid Dreaming and The Matrix. Now I'm no geek or anything but I love The Matrix Trilogy and I also love Lucid Dreaming and from what I found out you can sort of look at Lucidity as being hacked into The Matrix. Before you click out, just think about it. Before you enter the Matrix your in the real world just like before your sleep your in reality. Think of The Matrix as one big lucid dream.
Just Like in the Matrix you can bend and break the laws of physics and as you all well know the same thing can be done while experiencing lucidity.
Your capability to fly relies on your ability to let go or as Morpheus would say “Free your mind”. For those of you who have had lucid dreams you know that if you accept that the world your dreaming is your world you can…well be Neo, but if you don’t fully accept that you can dodge a bullet leap huge heights and fly then chances are it wont happen.
I’ll give you a better example. Remember the scene in the first matrix where Morpheus is showing Neo that all he has to do is free his mind. So to prove his point he jumps this ridiculous distance between two buildings. Then Neo tries it but didn’t believe enough so he fail all the way down to the ground. Neo gets up and says “I thought it wasn’t real” and Morpheus replies, “Your mind makes it real”.
That’s pretty much how it works in lucid dreams. If you don’t totally accept that its not real then it becomes real. You literally go from “I can fly” to “Can I fly?” to “I can’t fly”.
This is just my opinion though hope I enlightened you.
