      bad friends

how many of you have jerks for friends that think that being lucid is like of the devil or something, or they think its bad or whatever? my friends are just that way and i want to see if its not accepted in other societies as well. because honestly if everyone lucid dreamed the world would be a lot better place.

some of my friends seem to enjoy it when i relate lucid experiences. some show no interest.

only my fundie family seems opposed to it, as supposedly i'm "opening doors that shouldn't be opened" and other similar fear-induced bullshite.

My friends probably wouldn't care if they knew (except for the two that are endevouring on this experience with me :)).

My family, as always, would probably be a little worried at first. Do some experimentation and probably come along for the ride. I mean, given what they've done as teens in the 70s...This can't be too hard for them to comprehend. I'm fairly sure that when I express this to my parents they're going to be understanding or at least amused and ignore it.

What annoys me even more are people who, if you do LD, try to impose what you should or should not do. I think it's healthy to express yourself in dreams, and totally disregard the stupid notion that what you do in dreams will cross over into real life. Those people who insist that never really have grasped and exploited the freedom of dreams.

In 100% percent of the case, I believe LD'ing is better than not. So don't let your so called friends' opinions bother you. Don't waste your time on that.

No offence, but your friends are total retards. I am quite sure my friends would find it a bit weird, but not like they would think I am that crazy.

Well I guess your friends are just a bunch of rednecks, they can't help it I guess

Well, the people I associate with for the most part accept Lucid Dreaming as a normal part of dreaming. My parents have them, my fiance has them, my best friend has them....I don't have to worry about my friends thinking I am an idiot. They all know about LDs.

I thought I was one of the first amongst the people I know to find out about lucid dreaming, but I've mentioned it to quite a few of my friends and subsequently found out that many of them also do it.

Those who don't are usually either interested or not, but there have even been two cases where uninterested people have had a lucid dream just from me telling them about them and then become interested in them.

Don't worry. I'd take that as a compliment. I get that all time in real life

My friends are an interesting bunch. Most of them either think its bullshit and that its all in my head (it is anyway, but you know what I mean...), or they absolutely love it. England is quite secular compared to a lot of countries, and I only know 1 devout christian! He doesn't think its evil or anything... so i guess I don't have the whole "devil worshiper" crap being thrown at me over here.

A couple of my friends have shown mild interest in lucid dreaming, and nobody has yet called me crazy or weird because of it. One of my friends told me that she'd rather keep dreaming normally because she likes the way her dreams go... I couldn't make her understand that being lucid doesn't mean you control everything in the dream.
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.
