      sense of smell while dreaming

      Couldn't find this mentioned elsewhere so here it is. Last night in a dream I was much aware of my sense of smell for a particular odor. I haven't had many dreams where the sense of smell happens. Just curious how common/uncommon this smell awareness happens. Thanks, Bruce

      Senses in dreams are all about equal just as in the waking state.
      It's really all a matter of remembering and recalling. Dream vividness, if you will.

      I see it this way: the more attention one pays to a particular sense in the waking state usually, the more often and more intense that sense will be in dream recall and the more one takes a sense for granted, the less likely it is to be recalled very well upon recalling a dream.
