      Sleeping better after understading how

I have been trying WILD for the past week or two. Although, I have been partially successfull, but for the past few days I didn't succeed at even sleeping. I got tired after trying too hard. I even forgot how to sleep.

Sleeping comes naturally. I had no idea how to induce sleep. It just happened. After working on WILD it seems that my brain got used to trying to WILD (trying to get to the Hypnagogic state), and forgot how to relax and put me to sleep.

I was only able to sleep after I got really tired. I was too focused. Then I realized that I needed to relearn how to sleep. This is when I observed my thoughts right before I went to sleep (the times when I got really tired). I remembered how to sleep again.

Now I am in control. I can try to WILD, or simply just fall asleep.

I think its more you thinking about stuff to much so don't fall asleep. I can never fall asleep if I am thinking about anything at all. Which is why I think wilds are so hard for me, have to think of something to keep your mind semi awake but instead it keeps me fully awake.

      Yeap WILD.

Actually, it's not thinking too much that keeps me awake. It's what type of thinking that keeps me awake.

well try meditating and switch to MILD. not sleeping is not a good thing. funny thing is basically there is really not alot of different between MILD and WILD, both get you to the same place. WILD just does it while you are conscious (mind awake body asleep) after you've slept for a good amount of time. MILD just meditates or breathes deeply before sleeping and combines with self-hypnotic suggestions.

To be honest, after years and years of practise, the WILD variety works the best. BUT, you can simply go to bed, wake up at 5am, read a book and then meditate, do self-hypnotic suggestion, relax and then go to sleep. that is a variation of WILD that uses MILD aspects. I guarantee if you do this kind of MILD it is far more effective than doing MILD at night right when you go to bed. I think it is because you are physically active all day, and mind is very active, that at nite inducing obe's or lucid dreams is more difficult than try it after at least a couple of good hours of sleep.

try it out, get the sleep first before you have your adventures...
