Lucid dream inside a non-LD... so trippy

Wow, this has definitely been the strangest dream experience of my life. This is the dream I had last night:
-I was walking around in some kind of museum/hotel with friends. We were planning something, like a party. Then we had to go to bed, since we were staying in this hotel and had to get up in the morning. We lay down and went to sleep.
-This is the weird part... I fell asleep in my dream and had another dream. In THIS dream, I was walking around in my bedroom, when I realized I was lucid (my diary was missing, this is a dream sign of mine) so I played around a little bit and practiced flying. Then I woke up from the "second dream"... into the first dream. In the hotel bed. I was not lucid now, and I remember reflecting on my lucid dream. We cleaned up and left to do whatever it is we had to do.
Then I woke up for real, at my house. Such a weird feeling! I did a bunch of reality checks when I woke up for real
Just thought I'd share this with you all; it was very odd!

This is sort of what happened in my first recorded dream. Only difference was I wasnt lucid in any of the dreams. Interesting though

That's how I achieved some of my first LDs. Sometimes, that can be a great way to become lucid.

Hey Theresa, what I find strange is that you were able to "fall asleep" in your dream without waking up in real life.

One technique that LaBerge has documented himself is that in order to wake up from a dream, one should do the opposite as in real life. So, if you wanted to wake up in a dream, simply lay down, close your eyes and sleep. This (supposedly) will wake you out of a dream.

I wonder, do you actually remember laying your head down and going to sleep - or was it maybe the thought that you all agreed to go to sleep, but really you skipped from that part to "waking up" in the next dream? Kind of like when you see a movie and a person lays down in bed, then the scene skips to them waking up. This implies that the person slept all night, but in reality only seconds passed.

I can't say for sure if LaBerge's technique works for everyone which is why I'm interested to hear about how it is you recall your experience.

I've also heard that sleeping in a dream will wake you up, which is part of the reason why I found this so odd. I do specifically remember shutting off the lights, getting into bed, and closing my eyes, though.

      weird

Last night I fell asleep and started a non-lucid dream that turned into a lucid dream. I "awoke" but i wasnt where i was when i went to sleep i was freaked out and still dreaming. i went back to sleep and started dreaming again and still lucid. This happened 3 times. I was so freaked out by the time that I woke up that i couldnt go back to sleep and I only slept for about an hour and a half.

I remember having a Lucid dream inside a dream. Indeed it is a strange experience; it's like having something to fall back on if you wake from the Lucid.
