When this happens to me (I realize I'm dreaming, then wake up), I don't move positions and keep my eyes closed. I'll visualize the dream like I'm back in it and think about it continuing. I've entered back into LDs this way before. When you feel like you're back in the dream, try a reality check (I like to try to fly, or look at clocks).

There's a tutorial about dream reentry that you may find helpful (if you haven't already read it).

      Good luck!

Sounds like you are having a false awakening.

To help this I just do reality checks everytime I wake up.

Like, when I wake up, I plug my nose to see if I'm dreaming. Then if you have a false awakening (dream that you are waking up) you just do a reality check, and you'll know your dreaming! Then go fly or something!

      Hope this helps.

what is a good reality check? light switches don't work for me because i have acually adjusted light trying them in my dreams, don't ask how. also clocks always seem right when i double take or look at them.

Some people try pushing a finger through their palm (I've head this works but I've never tried it).

Trying to fly always works for me - even if you don't fly, staying off the ground for any longer than what's normal should trigger you to think you're dreaming.
