      Waking up for a WILD

So, this isn't 100% dream related, but I still need help.

As you all know, it's a requirement to sleep 5-6 hours before a WILD, so, you obviously have to wake up at some point. Set an alarm or whatnot. Problem is, I can't set an alarm, because it would wake my brother and my parents up (all the bedrooms are at one end of the house). So, that is not an option.

A couple times I've been able to wake up without using anything. But that only works sometimes.

So, what can I use to wake me up at 4 in the morning, without waking everyone else up?

Do you have a watch? If so: set your watch alarm, those are generally quiet enough that they'd only wake you up without waking the entiire house!

Another thing I'd try is drinking lots of water before bed. I know people suggest this to induce dreams, but when I drink lots of water, not only do I have dreams--I have to wake up about 5 hours after sleeping to go to the bathroom.

      I hope it helps

Tell me, Courtney, do you have a cell phone? Typically you can adjust the volume of the alarm on your phone, and you might be able to adjust it so it doesn't wake the rest of the family up. To test the volume, leave your phone in your room, then go into each of the bedrooms and call your cell phone. That will tell you how loud or soft it needs to be.

I had success waking up when I set my cell phone to vibrate--it didn't even wake Jaime, but the rattling noise right next to my head was enough to get my attention.

No watch, no cell phone, no headphone alarm.

      I guess I'll try water?

I have the same problem as you, typically I drink water. Lately I have been... Cutting down, and sometimes it does not wake me up. A little while ago I drank some where between 3-4 jars of water. I woke up feeling like I had been kicked in the stomach, back, and most unfortunately the nads (dont think that effects you). INFACT, I was in so much pain I couldnt sleep for the rest of the night. This has happened a couple of times when drinking lots of water, so be careful.

You could use your alarm anyway, and just say it was an accident.
I'm betting your alarm doesnt wake up EVERYONE in the house, just you, because you are used to it. So if you get to the alarm quick enough, you should be able to shut it off without waking anyone.

Either that, or tape the alarm to your head so you can shut it off fast

You could cover your alarm up in something to muffle the noise a little.

Plus, some people have the knack to wake up at the same time every day, you just have to get your body used to waking up at that time everyday.

go to a dollar store and buy a cheap digital alarm.

if its still too loud you can put it under your pillow.

I have one cheap clock that just beeps like 4 times. (Of course its so quiet half the time I sleep though it)
