      Drunken stupidity in dreaming

Seeing as I am a little drunk, I had a thought. Does this drunken stupidity I am experiencing now carry over into the dream world?

At first, I thought well, if one is drunk, they probably do not remember dreams. Further, it takes several hours to get into REM/dream sleep, and a good amount of alcohol could be processed during that time. Here is my question:

If someone woke up in the middle of the night and drunk some alcohol, on an empty stomach so it will hit sooner, then fell back asleep, would they experience the stupid behavior they normally display when drunk while dreaming? What would in mean in terms of how dreams work?

Do we have any testimonials? I realize it's Cinco De Mayo, we could really gather data if I thought of this sooner, but I was not drunk sooner. Also, I don't think this is "formal" enough to be a research experiment, more like an excuse. That's why it's going in General Discussion.

Everyone seems rather drunk when in a dream anyway!

This is NOT TRUE! For real, I read it before, that you will not remember dreams blah blah...

I'm getting exact oppisite of this! My dreams are more vivid a lot longer with deepest plot and everything. In the morning I remember it a lot better then usual. But, of course, they are probably those lasts dreams from my 8 hour sleep... And I'm not drunked in my dreams...

My experiences are not about beeibg drunked that you don't remember how did you get home... I'm talkin about 3-4 beers...

My dreams are always beligerently insane, i dont know if drinking has any effect. I had a dream just a few weeks ago after a beautiful night of drinking, i was completely shitface, but anyways i had a dream about having sex with a very very cute girl in my school. the dream seemed to last at least a half hour. Very nice dream, i dint act drunk, nor did i think i was , and i think i may have even figured out i was dreaming someway threw it but ignored it so i dint wake up. My dreams differ wildly wether im drunk or sober. But who knows.

I haven't tried the getting drunk and seeing how it affected my dreams. However, there have been times when I've dreamed that I got stoned and have gone through the rest of the dream high which is pretty cool and very different than going to sleep WHEN you're actually stoned, then I just have vivid interesting dreams but don't feel stoned in the dreams. When I smoke INa dream, I spend the rest of the dream in an altered state of consciousness. 8)

same thing has happened to me--but it doesn't feel like being stoned for me, it's usually a kind of light dizziness accompanied by not being able to talk without slurring words.
