Skipping the first stage of sleep?

      Hi,

I don't really want to wake up every night just to try FILD or WILD, and I was wondering if when you go to sleep at 12AM and you've been up for 12+ hours whether you automatically go into REM? I'm asking because I get the best sleep of my life when I go to sleep late so I was wondering if it could be REM, and I also ask because then if I sleep late I would not have to be awoken 5 hours later.

      Any answers?

      I also have another question.

For WILD how long did it take you until you got it the 1st time?

It doesn't work like that you'll have to go through the other stages to get to REM. If you don't want to wake up in the middle of the night you can try to take afternoon naps because at that time after sleeping through the night you will go into REM very fast or right away.

Yep he is right. Definately try napping. You can immediately go into REM.

About the WILD question I got it to work on my fourth SERIOUS try, because on other tries I was just like yeah I'm gonna WILD and I ended up falling asleep withouth even getting vibrations or anything

Actually, you dont really need to sleep first. You can try sleeping when your body is extremely tired...this way, your body falls asleep first before your mind, therefore entering sleep paralysis. Or like nightshade said, take a nap during the day. Sometimes WILD can happen without doing the WBTB method. WBTB method helps increase the chances of a WILD happening though.
