      Bringing Back a Dream

Last night, I was in a regular dream, and I didn't become lucid until it began to fade away. Darkness began to sweep in, and I having so much fun I didn't want it to end. But this was unlike any other time I made a dream continue. The dream kept fading despite my efforts to keep it going, but I didn't wake up. The dream sort of faded into HI, and I saw events playing as if the dream was still going on from and outside point of view. Then as I focused on the HI, the dream came back. And I think it came from a good amount of time, I don't really know, because I lost lucidity shortly after.

I try the spinning technique but that doesn't always work.

Does anyone have their own methods that work?

Try rubbing your hands together. I don't know if it helps with fading, as when my dreams fade away, they do so fast. Rubbing one's hands seems to be a cure for many maladies, such as poor clarity and the like, so give it a try.

yeah, along with rubbing your hands you could try to talk outloud, that usually helps.
