Strange feeling

You ever get the feeling you know something in a dream even though you shouldn't be able to? Like maybe you see a dream person and you know who it is even though might not really look like them. Or maybe you have no idea what someone looks like because they are an internet friend or something but you see them in a dream and you know its them even though they didn't tell you, and the dream might not have anything to do with them. Or maybe your in some weird place you never seen before but you know where it is or something.

I can never remeber what people look like in my dreams and I am pretty sure a lot of times they don't really look as they should but a lot of time I seem to know who the person is anyway. I would say its more than a feeling because I always write down who it is in my dream journal but then if I look back at it I have no idea if its really them or not.

I wonder if I just assume who they are all the time. Or maybe since its my dream I can call them whoever I want heh. Then again since it is my dream maybe I know who the dream is trying to show and so even if it does a bad job of showing them I still know.

I know what you mean. People in my dream sometimes don't have defined faces, and i still know who they are.

I think your mind just knows who it's supposed to be. The weirdest part is when a person changes into another person. Like, I was with my brother and then he turned into my best friend.

That happens all the time too. Some times I think the person they turn into, looks kind of alike yet never have any doubt that they are someone else. Though in the dream I don't even notice that and I keep acting like its the same person even though I am calling them something else.

I know a lot of dream information, that is only accessible from within a dream.
Like I know I've played dream games, been to dream locations, etc etc etc.

Sometimes when I focus on something I get a short background information on it, and I feel like I know this person...

happens all the time. in fact i had a dream with paperdoll and seeker in it... paperdoll was this girl i know through old soccer friends and seeker was her boyfriend.

even last night i was running though new york taging walls with the boston red socks logo... i've only been to new york once... and i was 3 at the time...

i think it's your brain just putting a name to the face. your brain is trying to explain it's surroundings rather than just accept that you're somewhere you've never been or you're meeting someone when you can't remember their name.

i still can't remember paperdoll's character's name... or her boyfriend's name... i met them once.

by the way... damn paperdoll... you were HOT!

I have had dream like this... where i know it is someone but it may not look like them in the waking world! I have even had a dream about internet (DV) people and I have never met them. I think our mind already has a mental picture of people we know and don't know... so that is how they seem in dreams. I dont know!

Someone had mentioned that I should suggest that the willing participants come together like a reunion. Which being spread all over the wrld would almost be immpossible. But that wasn't my point. Point- I have a picture in my head of the frequent posters and how they look. If I were to see you people in real life, I am sure it would be weired.

Yeah, I do think that I associated people here with images I make up for them. They generaly they don't prove themselves to be true, but I guess I just take physical traits of people that act like them person that I am imagining and put them together. It would make sense to do that(even though I might not be aware if I do) because of the way that we make associations in our mind(I studied something that can be realted to this a couple of months ago)...

Well this is kinda funny story and I don't mean to offend anyone!!!! Especially the person I dreamt about!!!!

When I first joined DV I was looking through everything and came across a pic of Lowercase Society... umm yeah! Anyway, that night in a non-lucid dream I saw Lowercase (did not look anything like his pic but I knew it was him). Well he had a harem of women surrounding him and they were all seeking his attention, if ya know what I mean. No one was talking to him except me. I was thinking "If they wanna do him so bad why don't they talk" so anyway I wont go into the rest but I thought it was kinda funny! He had a very nice pick of women! Anyway I had not planned on telling that story but you all may get a kick out of it!!!!!

Ok so a little embarrassed now!

I'll dream about you next ShadowNightWing... promise!!!

I also end up with a mental picture of folks too. Currently, Truthbearer is immortalised as a man with a buttplug within my mind. Not exactly the most elegant picture. It's something to do with his avatar.
