I think one of the most important things for having lucid dreams is having confidence in your ability to LD. From your post, it sounds like you are getting discouraged and doubtful (based on phrases such as "I really suck at doing this") -- which is understandable, but thinking like that will definitely have a negative effect on your lucid dreaming.
Focus on the fact that you have already had a LD, so you know that you can do it. Then approach it with the attitude that you will have one tonight, and if not tonight, then tomorrow, and if not then, the next night, etc. I know that it's tough to keep a positive attitude when you're not seeing any results, but you have to dismiss the failures with the attitude of "oh well, something wasn't quite right for it to happen this time, but I know it will happen."
Also, you might try taking a break from trying to LD so intensely. Sometimes just making the effort gives you enough stress to inhibit your ability to LD. Often people will find that if they just stop trying for a few days or a week, they'll suddenly have a LD when they aren't expecting one.
Remember, the only sure way to fail is to give up! Keep at it, and keep asking questions!
